Do I need a zafu (sit-on cushion) too?
It depends on how you sit. For short sessions or yoga, the zabuton alone is plenty. For longer meditation in cross-legged or kneeling positions, most people layer a zafu on top to lift the hips and keep the spine aligned.

Will the kapok flatten over time?
Kapok is hollow at the cellular level, so it bounces back when fluffed. A quick refluff every few weeks keeps it in good shape.

Can the cover be washed?
Spot-clean with cool water and mild soap. Don't machine wash — kapok clumps when wet. Air it in sunshine to refresh.

Each cushion is hand-stuffed by Thai artisans, so size, weight, and pattern alignment may vary slightly between pieces. We see this as part of the character — every cushion is one of a kind.
